              Father of: William Wallace, 4th of Craigie and 9th of Riccarton Craigie Castle, Gaelic Caisteil    
              Chreagaidh, was originally built for the Lyndsay or Lindsay clan. The castle passed had to John
              Wallace of Riccarton through marriage of Margaret Lindsay as she was the last heiress of
              Lindsay Craigie. From this time, the line of the Ayrshire Wallaces lived at Craigie Castle until they
​              moved to Newton Castle in Ayr in 1588.

            Married Margaret Wallace (born Johnstone) 1418 - 1472
               Father of: Christina Wallace
               Father of:William Wallace, 6th of Craigie, 11th of Riccarton,
               John Wallace was Lieutenant-General to James II, and fought at the Battle of Sark in 1448, 
               killing the English General Magnus with his own hands. John was injured on the battlefield
               and died of his wounds at Craigie Castle about three months later..
