Patricia Jean Jordan

Patrica Jean Campbell
 Born 3-24-1924 Vallejo, California
Died 11-25-2011 Pleasant Hill CA

Patricia was born on March 24, 1924 in Vallejo, CA. She graduated from Vallejo High School with the class of 1941. Growing up, Particia's childhood was the direct opposite of her husband James. She was raised and cherished by loving parents Wallace and Mabel Campbell and was adored by her 3 uncles and an aunt all living in Vallejo, California. She grew-up in just one house, one neighborhood, never having to move and had many close friends and loved dancing.  She traveled all over the Bay Area and at State Fairs performing in yearly dance recitals and competitions with the Lodena Edgcumbe Dance Company. Lodena, was an accomplished dancer who had toured the United States and Europe with the Pavley and Oukrainsky Russian Ballet Company. In 1933, Patricia, joined the Lodena's School of the Dance, known as the Lodenadorbles until she wed James Jordan.
She was a homemaker who raised four boys and supported them in all their endeavors. She taught her sons how to live life, not to take themselves too seriously and laugh. She often would tease her teenage boys when they became too full of themselves by reminding them, "What good are you if you can't even laugh at yourself".  She adored her grandchildren and made it a point to make them feel special.
In her later years, she loved painting, traveling and playing Bridge.  She was gregarious, she enjoyed socializing and meeting new people. A popular individual and amiable, known for her sharp wit and believed that life is to be lived to the fullest. Her entire life, she was constantly making new friends, believing everyone had a story to tell. She knew that good friends can improve your social life, emotional health and over-all well being. People remember her fondly, often recalling her as the life of the party at her grandchildren's weddings and receptions! She gave a renewing energy to the souls of everyone she met. She believed ... "if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship - you really haven't learned anything".
